Kula is made by Kula LLC. You can delete your Kula account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.
Delete from the app
- Open Kula and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
If you are the admin of a group, you need to delete that group or hand it over to another member first. The app will tell you which groups.
Delete by email
If you can't open the app, email support@kulanetwork.com with the subject "Delete my account", sent from the email address on your account. We'll confirm and delete your account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, profile, name, email address and profile photo
- Your comments, reactions, poll votes and starred posts
- Your group chat messages and direct message conversations
- Your event RSVPs and Kula Kriti items you added
- Your group memberships, invites you created and Kula Connect matches
- Your notifications and push notification tokens
- Your sign-in account with our authentication provider
What is kept
- Posts you shared in a group feed stay in that group so the conversation still makes sense, but they are no longer linked to you or show your name.
- Payment records for tickets or plans are kept by our payment processor, Stripe, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
